GSA Delegation Engages Traditional Leaders, Local Authorities ahead of World Metrology Day celebration in Techiman

A delegation from the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA), on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, paid a courtesy call on the Techiman Omanhene, Nana Akumfi Ameyaw IV, and his elders as part of preparations toward the celebration of World Metrology Day (WMD) in the Bono East Regional capital.
The delegation, led by Dr Awal Mohammed, Deputy Director-General in charge of Operations, was received on behalf of the Omanhene by Nana Boakye Ameyaw Pentemprem, who serves as the Aduanahene and Nifahene of the Techiman Traditional Area.
Dr. Awal said that the visit was to formally inform and seek the blessings of the traditional authorities ahead of the national celebration.
Nana Ameyaw Pentemprem welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation to the GSA for selecting Techiman as the host city for the important national celebration.
The delegation also paid a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Techiman North, Hon. Adom Kwabena Johnson, to strengthen collaboration between the Authority and the local government to ensure the successful organisation of the event and to promote adherence to standards and regulations within the municipality.
