Two Food Science Students from the New York University, who are on an exchange programme at the University of Ghana as part of their studies, visited the GSA on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
The aim of the visit was to learn about how the GSA impacts food and nutrition systems in the country and familiarise themselves with the operations of the Authority.
They were first taken through a presentation by Ms. Comfort Ofori Essumang of the Inspectorate Directorate.
Following the presentation, the student visited the Pesticide Residue Labs and the Microbiology Lab, where they were exposed to the practical aspect of GSA’s operations. The facilitator from the UG, Dr. Matilda Steiner-Asiedu, thanked GSA for always accepting to take the students through its activities and noted that it helps the students practicalise what they are being taught.
The students, on their part, said they will be going back to their country with great ideas and lessons that will help them in their programme of study.
