GIPC Delegation Calls on Eastern Regional Office of GSA

The Koforidua Office of the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA), on Tuesday July 7, 2026, received a high-level delegation from the Eastern regional office of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), on a working visit.

The purpose of the visit was to formally announce the presence of GIPC in the region to the Authority, discuss avenues of mutual interests and extend their warmest regards to the regional manager, Mr. Andrew Lartey.

The visit also served as a platform for constructive dialogue on potential collaboration between the two institutions in serving clients effectively in the region. Discussions centered on advancing standardization and assisting both foreign and domestic enterprises through investment processes.

The Eastern Regional Manager of the GSA, Mr. Andrew Lartey, welcomed the team and expressed appreciation for the visit. He noted that continued engagement between the GSA and GIPC would enhance regulatory efficiency and facilitate investments across all sectors.

This joint initiative is expected to help businesses meet both local and international standards, ultimately supporting businesses with the much needed investment support and technical knowledge to promote fair trade and accelerate industrial development within the region.

Mr. Lartey expressed GSA’s unwavering support for the proposed collaboration and highlighted the Authority’s commitment to building capacity among entrepreneurs and enforce compliance of acceptable standards.

The GIPC delegation was led by Mr Andrew Obeng, an Assistant Investment Promotion Officer, and included William des Bordes, and Joseph Nyarko from the Investment Promotion department.

This engagement marks a significant milestone in fostering partnerships aimed at promoting standardization and driving investment accessibility in the region. The visit concluded with a brief tour of the office and a reaffirmation of the Authority’s commitment.
