On Friday, January 16, 2026, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of EV House LTD, Mr. Edward T. Hightower, led a delegation to pay a visit to the Acting Director-General (Ag. DG) of the Ghana Standards Authority (GSA), Professor George Agyei, at the head office in Accra.

The visit was undertaken with the participation of Rig World, in relation to this engagement. The delegation included Mr. Christopher Attipoe, Marketing and Sales Manager.
The meeting, among other things, sought to congratulate Prof. Agyei on his appointment and introduce the EV House LTD company to him.
EV House LTD, a subsidiary of Accra EV (GH) Limited, is a premium electric car and pick-up truck marketing, fleet management, and e-mobility solutions company that enables businesses, governments, and consumers in Ghana and across Africa to adopt EVs smartly.
During the meeting, Mr. Hightower expressed his excitement at meeting the Ag. DG and noted that the meeting will mark the beginning of a new relationship with the Authority.
He expressed his organization’s willingness to work with GSA to ensure that his outfit’s vehicles meet all the international standards and requirements.
Prof. Agyei was grateful to the EV delegation for the visit, informing them that his outfit’s doors were open for further discussions and collaborations.
He promised the delegation that the GSA would include in its procurement plan the purchase of EVs for its operations.
“I am grateful for your visit and excited to see what this partnership has for the future. Moving forward, about 20% of our vehicle purchases will be EVs in a bid to reduce fuel dependency and promote green industrial growth,” Prof. Agyei said.
The EV House team explained how its all electric pickup works and invited the DG to test drive the vehicle within the GSA’s premises.

EV House LTD officially commenced operations in Ghana last year, with the launch of two electric vehicles – the Geely Riddara RD6 and the Geely Geome Panda Mini – in what industry experts describe as a major step toward the country’s transition to sustainable mobility.
