GSA Observes World Metrology Day in Techiman

The Ghana Standards Authority (GSA) marked World Metrology Day (WMD) in Techiman on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, bringing together key stakeholders to promote fair trade practices in the country.
The celebration, held at the Bonokyempem Hall in Techiman, was chaired by the Omanhene of the Wenchi Traditional Area, Osagyefo Ampem Anye Amoampong Tabrako III.
The highlight of the celebration was the distribution of weighing scales to traders in Techiman through the partnership of PTB, Germany’s National Metrology Institute.
The donation formed part of activities marking the 2026 World Metrology Day celebration held at the Bonokyempem Hall in Techiman on Wednesday, May 20.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion included Hon. Francis Owusu Antwi (MP), the Bono East Regional Minister; Dr. Hudu Mogtari, the Board Chairman of the GSA; Prof. George Agyei, the Director-General.
