GSA Participates in Launch of Annual Quality Summit

The GSA participated in the official launch of the annual quality summit organised by QA Consult on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Standards Heights, Accra.
Held under the theme: “Advancing Ghana’s Industrial Excellence through Quality and Trust”, the occasion also marked the 10th Anniversary of QA Consult, a leading quality assurance and management consulting firm. The event assembled key stakeholders in the quality and standards space to reflect a decade of excellence, quality and trust.
In a keynote address read on behalf of the Director-General, Mr. Samuel Abdulai Jabanyite, Deputy Director-General in charge of General Services (DDG-GEN), stated that the celebration is not merely about longevity but a testament of sustained excellence, dedication and vision.
“In today’s interconnected global economy, quality is not a luxury; it is a necessity. It is the currency of credibility, the foundation of competitiveness, and the assurance of sustainability,” he noted.
He revealed that the GSA views quality as a shared responsibility, one that involves every player in the value chain, from policymakers to producers, from regulators to consumers and true quality is not confined to products or services but it is embedded in mindsets, institutions, and national culture.
According to Mr. Jabanyite, the GSA is working to harmonise its national standards with regional and international standards, ensuring that Ghanaian products meet the requirements of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and beyond.
QA Consult was born out of a vision to improve quality, safety, and productivity across industries, particularly within Ghana’s manufacturing, hospitality and service sectors.
